What is Châtiment?

Châtiment is a Production 3 student film
from Point Park University's School of Film
and Animation, located in the heart of
downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Our film
is composed of a crew of young aspiring
filmmakers with the guidance of experienced faculty. This is a student-led project from fundraising, pre-production, production, post-production, and all the way to distribution. With Châtiment, we aim to tell a compelling
visual narrative and gain more experience
in the filmmaking process.
Our Vision
Châtiment is a period-piece drama that explores whether killing can be justifiable. Are you just as bad
as the enemy to inflict the same punishment? Or does what comes around go around for
dark-hearted individuals? In
1946 post-war Europe, two
women avenge their families
by inviting former German
officers over for a deadly
dinner.
